This thesis project focuses on the simulation of radar responses (the propagation path as well as the EM far-field determination at a given point in free space above the ground) from a canonical target at very high-frequency band (S-band or higher). The study is analyzed by using the Ray-Tracing technique (Shoot and Bouncing Ray) and the asymptotic method Geometrical Optics (GO). Firstly, the canonical target constructed in this thesis project is either a sphere or a 1-in-1 corner reflector made of metallic. Then, the project requires simulating the transmitter TX and the receiver Rx (i.e. horn antennas) by using their main parameters. Finally, the project will be done by providing at the receiver Rx the propagation mechanism as well as the receiver EM far- field. The contents of this thesis project includes doing literature research, trying to understand some important algorithms and techniques published in the open literature to simulate the response from a canonical target at high frequency bands .en_US
