Proposing business strategies for Bien Hoa Packing joint stock company in the period 2015 - 2020
Abstract
With the overall purpose of studying the strategy formulation for a
manufacturing company in Viet Nam, Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company was
utilized as a case for research. This thesis was designed to establish business strategies for
the company in the period 2015- 2020 and propose action plans in order to implement
those strategies.
In the first three chapters, the content as well as context of the research,
literature review and research methodology were presented. Qualitative approach through
expert interview and method of collection, analysis, comparison the secondary data were
determined in this study .This thesis then introduced about Bien Hoa Packaging JSC and
evaluated its business performance in the past periods. In the detailed central section, the
thesis exploited the main steps in the process of strategy formulation that understanding
the nature of business environment via PESTLE analysis, Porter's Five Forces model and
the value chain analysis .The writing is followed by completing three stages strategy
analysis and choice through six matrices. The points given for each element in these
matrices were transcribed according to Sales Manager's idea. After some calculations, the
most attractive strategies were identified and some solutions were also provided to
implement those strategies. The ultimate section of this thesis summarized the main
findings and gave some suggestions for further studies.
In conclusion, this study hopes to offers the managers clear picture about
company's strategic position and thus make a small contribution to company future
development.
