Improving the efficiency of human resource management in pisico export forest product processing company - Binh Dinh province
Abstract
PISICO is a company which specializes in producing outdoor wood
furniture. The outdoor wood processing industry is one of the most important
economic sectors in Binh Dinh province. The specific characteristic of this industry is
the manufacturing season. It means that the demand of customers just occurs in the
certain period of a year. So, manufacturing season causes many negative impacts
about finance, workforce… on the outdoor wood processing enterprises in general and
PISICO Company in particular.
In this thesis, I would apply the quantitative method to find out the reason
of manufacturing season and its negative influences on both PISICO Company and its
laborers. Moreover, I analyzed the HR policies that the company implemented to
force the seasonal factor and clarified how its employees feel about these policies by
surveying 100 long-term workers and 50 seasonal workers. By doing this, I would
show that the company’s HR policies fit with the desires of the majority laborers or
not?
Finally, based on the current workforce, I established an effective HR plan
for PISICO Company in the manufacturing season. Besides, I also gave some
directions and solutions in both short-term and long-term for the company. But, in any
ways, it is also difficult to terminate the seasonal factor totally. Therefore, I had some
recommendations for both the company and the government in the last chapter of this
thesis.
