FDI has been becoming an essential investment capital for the economy of not only developed countries but also developing countries. For Vietnam's economy, FDI has played important role in integration process. And in recent years, the amount of FDI inflow to provinces of Vietnam has also been increasing, especially to Southern focal economic area. This paper is conducted to determine what factors lure FDI inflows to Long An, Dong nai, and Binh Duong, the provinces of Southern focal economic area. Based on literature review and previous empirical studies, this paper is implemented with 5 independent variables - Population, Labor costs, Skilled Labors, PCI and Infrastructure, and a dependent variable - accumulated amount of FDI in the period of 12 years (2003 - 2014). To analyze the issue, both quantitative and qualitative method are applied. The relationship between 5 independent variables and FDI is estimated by regression model.
