dc.description.abstract | This thesis sought to learn about and analyze the employee commitment and propose
recommendation and action plans to enhance employee commitment within Schaeffler
Vietnam. The main objective of this study was to contribute to the company’s effort in
dealing with existing problems in its employee commitment regarding management
styles. The research methodology used in this study was qualitative case study with indepth interviews, focus groups, along with Company’s Employee Engagement Survey as
another reliable secondary data in the context of employee commitment. The interview
participation of 4 supervisors and employees, 10 employees in two focus groups from
Schaeffler Vietnam revealed that the problems were on leadership styles, empowerment
and communication styles. Based on the analysis of interviews and focus groups, the
author proposed some recommendations to deal with problems regarding those factors.
Due to limitation of the research time and costs, there were not any quantitative research
methods utilized in association with the qualitative case study for the output result.
Therefore, the implication may be limited. However, it is hoped to be a good reference
for Schaeffler Vietnam’s Human Resources Department in effort of enhancing employee
