Factors affecting employee loyalty of teaching assistants at Vietnam USA Society (VUS) English Center in Ho Chi Minh City
Abstract
Most of organizations nowadays are facing with numerous difficulties in
retaining employee loyalty since talent personnel are the key elements to their success.
There are a rising demands to find out the drivers of employee loyalty. Therefore, this
research is conducted and showed the positive relationship between employee loyalty and
7 independent variables in specific situation Teaching Assistants at Vietnam USA
Society (VUS) English Center. These variables include Compensations and Rewards,
Workplace, Management, Peers, Supervisors, Personal Development, and Customer
Orientation. Specifically, Workplace has the strongest correlation to the loyalty of
Teaching Assistants while Personal Development appears to have no impacts. The other
factors vary from moderate (Compensations & Rewards, Management, and Supervisors)
to small but definite relationship (Peers, Customer Orientation). In association with high
employee loyalty, a high quality of workplace, timely and appropriate support from
supervisors, good relationship with colleagues, proper management system, appealing
payment and promotions, and good competencies to deal with customers should be
achieved. The study will aid VUS in particular and English centers in general to reduce
the recruitment costs as well as create a high loyalty level of Teaching Assistants in Ho
Chi Minh City
