dc.description.abstract | In recent years of 2013 – 2015, the world economy and Vietnam’s economy in specific have picked up recovery signals from the financial crisis and real estate market breakdown in 2007 – 2008. This is accompanied by a rise in demand for stainless steel products in form of household appliances and industrial stainless steel pipes. Besides its leading position of a supplier of such products, Son Ha International Corporation (Ticker: SHI) is also listed on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE). Yet, investors need to look into the strategy, performance and potentials of SHI to make sound investment decisions. In order to accommodate these needs of these investors, this paper provides an overview and analysis, both retrospective and prospective, into the strategy and business performance results of SHI and suggests the intrinsic value of SHI’s stock. Through the incorporation of strategy analysis, financial analysis and prospective analysis, SHI is an appealing investment for domestic investors, whereas foreign investors may need to take into account the cost of equity due to the high country risk premium.
