dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, I developed a GUI to display human body in 3D. Initially, I extracted the data of each tissue or a group of tissues from the Visible Human Database, provided by REMCOM Inc. The extracted data was in the form of cubes. Therefore, the displayed image was not smooth, due the jagged edge of the cubes. To create a smooth contour, there are many interpolation methods, such as linear interpolation, non-linear interpolation, tri-linear interpolation, multi-dimensional interpolation, or Spline interpolation. In this thesis, I used the Spline interpolation method to perform smoothing. In addition, I also compared and adjusted the extracted data to the real images from CT&MRT to provide a realistic display. I also combined the GUI with lightning and coloring technique to provide a realistic looken_US
