dc.description.abstractThe article presents the problem of transportation cost optimization from the perspective of a Vietnam automobile manufacturer which uses multimodal transportation. One of the determining factors to the competitiveness between companies is reducing logistics cost, so the aim of this thesis is to provide the company an effective model on planning the outbound transportation network with the objective of minimizing total transportation cost. The transport cost of outbound logistics is considered and minimize objective cost optimization model in the form of Mixed Integer Linear Programming is presented. CPLEX software is applied. The model and testing data bases on the company case. The implementation details and the result of numerical experiment are presented and discussed. The article is scoped in transportation of outbound logistics of the company only. Keywords: Multimodal transportation, cost optimization, MILP.en_US
