Developing a garage management system in ODOO

Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a business process management software system which allows the business steadily control their task and automate many back office function related to technology, human resources and services. ERP system includes many integrated operation modules such as sales, marketing, manufacturing and human resource management. [1] Odoo is known as a form of OpenERP (Open source ERP) which includes almost all the operation module of ERP system, it is continually developed to achieve the fastest and the most convenient use for the customer with the contribution of 4000+ applications to cover a wide variety of business needs [2]. Come to the October 2015, the latest release is Odoo 9. Although the Odoo framework has many workflow modules but they are all seems pretty simple and cannot adapt the real business workflow. The main study purpose of this thesis report is to analyze and develop the modules based on Odoo framework to support for the Repairing Service workflow in a particular vehicle garage.
