Factors affecting job selection preferences of business administration students in International University
Abstract
There are many researches on finding which factors affecting job selection preferences of final year students in the field of accounting, agriculture, doctors or nurses, but there is no research in Business Administration major. Therefore, this purpose of this research will be examine the factors influencing on the Business Administration final year students’ job selection preferences. Those factors are career development, salary and benefits, employer reputation, working environment and job security. The chosen sample size is 250 respondents and the data is analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and the chosen method will be multiple linear regression analysis. The final results show that career development and job security which are two factors has the great impact on job selection preferences, while the rest of the factors, three factors are not significantly related to dependent variable. The findings of this research expect to promote the performance of corporate recruiters and career counselors as well as students can prepare in the best way before they find the first job after graduation.
