dc.description.abstractThe primary purpose of this research is to give an overall overview of the bilateral, economic, and external relations between HongKong and Vietnam by reflecting their positions in the international. In this case study, a great emphasis put on the prospective Free Trade Agreement between Hongkong and Vietnam and the impact such an agreement could have. This study aims to analyze the impact of HKVNFTA on bilateral trade of Vietnam. By using the panel data analysis, we show that the reduction of tariffs in the framework of the FTA will have a positive impact on bilateral trade between Vietnam and the Hongkong. In addition, Vietnam-HK FTA will offer many new opportunities, but it also challenges for Vietnam. Based on these analyses, this paper proposes some recommendations for Vietnam to benefit more the Vietnam-HK FTA All aspects of the case study that have reached consensus on the effectiveness of future FTAs will be the most beneficial step for Hongkong and Vietnam in their FTA assumptions. It can be claimed to a reasonable degree that such an agreement will strengthen and develop economic and co-operative ties between Hongkong and Vietnam.
