| dc.description.abstract | As the development of education, especially higher education in Vietnam, there is a dramatic increase in numbers of universities compared to the 2000s. Associating with the education needs of people have also moved to a higher level, the number of university students is growing.
The purpose of this research mainly is to build a conceptual model of factors influencing students‟ higher education choice was developed to identify the key factors and to evaluate the level of influence of these factors on high school students' university choice decisions.
The methodology of this research is quantitative method and the result of 349 valid questionnaires from grade 12 students, school year 2018 - 2019 at high schools in Ho Chi Minh City indicated 6 main factors influencing to the students' college choice including institution‟s characteristics and students‟ characteristics, as well as external factors.
The research results affirm the relationship between influential factors and the high school students' choice in university with the theories supported at the statistically significant level of 0.05. Furthermore, from this result, giving out some recommendations and practical statistics intention to support university and higher education organizations have pragmatic points of views in order to better their orientation, creating good conditions for high school students to have the worth decision in choosing university, although this research has significant limitations. | en_US |
