This thesis considers two – stage lot sizing and scheduling problem in beer production. The beer production process can be split into two main stages: beer fermentation stage and bottling liquids into packing container. Multi - product with different sizes and liquid are produced satisfying manufacturing capacity. The main difference between beer production and soft – drink production is the long fermentation stage. This long length of fermentation stage can affect the production plan. In addition, the synchronization between two – stage is also a challenge due to the alternate of bottleneck between two – stage. A mixed integer programming model is developed to solve this problem. The model approximately represents real – life problem. In order to solve real – life model (large – size model), a meta – heuristic algorithm should be developed.en_US
