The goal of this research is to create a model and solve an optimization issue in the field of energy. In today's society, electrical energy has become critical to all individuals and industrial activity. Thus, preventive maintenance for energy generators becomes critical in order to preserve power dependability and efficiency. This study aims to provide a comprehensive model of generators in the context of network functioning for the maintenance scheduling problem. The model is subsequently solved on a small scale using mathematical programming (MP). A matheuristic technique of hybridizing MP and metaheuristics is presented to tackle the problem in the real-world scenario of a large-scale electrical network. The results of using matheuristic approach testing on the modified model indicate that this method has considerable potential in handling the generator maintenance scheduling problem with network consideration.en_US
