dc.description.abstractThis thesis report two main parts. First one is studying about low-pass filter characteristics and about methods, functions to design a low-pass filter. Secondly, the realization of filter will be concentrated. Theoretically, an ideal low-pass filter would allow all signals below the cut-off frequency to pass through, while causing an infinite attenuation, at an infinite rate, at frequencies beyond the filter cut-off frequency In this work, the low-pass filters with cut-off frequency at about 1.5 GHz using micro-strip line were designed and fabricated. Richard’s Transform and Kuroda’s identities will be used to translate lumped element filter to transmission line filter. It would be required to design, simulate ADS2009 version software and measure the fabricated low-pass micro-strip filters of specific N order and cut-off frequency with Agilent 4395A 1.8GHz network/spectrum/impedance analyzer and S Parameter Set Testen_US
