It is inevitable that project management has always been one of the most important aspects of the development of any corporation. In order to obtain successful innovations, the authority must maintain careful and diligent preparations in terms of time, cost, manuals and other resources. This can immensely contribute positive service to the sustainability of the project. Therefore, project managers are always making every effort to improve, develop, and apply new methodologies to innovate their business work. Proactive and reactive scheduling is believed to be effective for supporting common real-life projects. This method not only enhances project execution to be fast and efficient, but also protects the project from various risks of interruptions, which saves a lot of time and money should problems arise. Although proactive and reactive scheduling are commonly applied in numerous scientific and practical fields, there are still gaps where this methodology has not been fully developed. A lot of methods have proven to have the capability to resolve different problems, so it is essential to consciously evaluate each literature. This thesis will emphasize the use of a mathematical model to minimize project completion time, while maintaining an efficient resource usage to reduce uncertainties and speed completion. This thesis will apply the matheuristics of Genetic Algorithm and Integer Programming to solve the resource-constrained project scheduling problem and compare the outcomes with the given database resultsen_US
