dc.description.abstractThe Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry holds a prominent position within the electronics supply chain, offering extensive manufacturing solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across various sectors. In the face of increasing demand for advanced electronic products, EMS providers encounter a multitude of challenges in meeting customer requirements while simultaneously ensuring profitability. Cost management emerges as a pivotal aspect that necessitates careful consideration. To tackle this complex issue, a mathematical model is meticulously developed, employing the powerful CPLEX software. The primary objective of this model is to address the scheduling requirements for multiple workflows within parallel Top Level Assembly (TLA) lines at Jabil Manufacturing Company. In particular, this thesis proposes a sophisticated multiple workflows scheduling scheme, seeking to optimize the allocation of resources and job sequences while simultaneously minimizing costs, all within the constraints of varying deadlines. Traditionally, TLA lines often face multiple deadline failures, resulting in inadequate delivery of finished goods to customers. This phenomenon can be attributed to a range of factors, including the intricacies of material flow, inadequate workforce allocation for critical tasks, and imbalanced task assignments. However, with the application of the proposed algorithm, significant improvements in production performance have been observed. Notably, the implementation of the algorithm has resulted in reduced costs and a more streamlined arrangement of job sequences, thereby enhancing overall productivity.en_US
