dc.description.abstractThe growth of e-commerce has increased the need for shopping in both urban and rural locations, necessitating a wider reach and coverage for the e-logistics industry. In order to survive in the harsh new rural market, logistics companies need to prioritize optimizing last-mile delivery costs to maximize profits. This article seeks to design a route optimization with the goal of maximizing profits for logistics enterprises in order to solve the last-mile distribution problem of rural e-commerce logistics (RECL), which is characterized by a long transportation route and slow consumption density. To solve this problem, the route optimization model is built by applying the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). In particular, the ACO's heuristic information, updated pheromone formulation, and solution structure have all been modified to better fit the RECL's properties. The findings of the study also reflect the network coverage of the RECL logistics enterprises, the minimum number of transport methods required for delivery, and the extent to which the maximum profit of logistics firms is affected.en_US
