dc.description.abstract | Job satisfaction is an often studied theme in academic researches and organizational literatures. Many experts emphasize job satisfactions as a part of social welfare, influencing employee effort, work productivity, employee absenteeism as well
as staff turnover rate in organizations. Therefore, job satisfaction raises an important issue for both managers and employees themselves.
In order to deeply understand about job satisfaction, this paper was conducted
in a specific company named METRO Cash & Carry (MCC) Vietnam. In short, the research aims to develop a model which identifies and measures factors affecting employee job satisfaction, thereby contributing some suggestions for MCC Vietnam to meet employee’s demands as well as increase the power of human resource.
Both qualitative and quantitative approach were applied in the study, however,
the main method was quantitative. The reviewing of former researches and related theories proposed the model of job satisfaction which was useful to develop suitable questionnaire for MCC Vietnam. Data and practical information were collected from surveying MCC employees, then being processed by SPSS software to come up with final results. According to the findings, co-worker, payment and job design are three factors having positive impact on employee job satisfaction at MCC Vietnam.
In spite of several limitations, this study is contributed some practical implications and recommendations to improve employee satisfaction in working at MCC
