dc.description.abstract | Human Resource Management is getting more important in the business in these days. One of the main aspects of Human Resource Management is the measurement of employee satisfaction. Businesses have to ensure that employee satisfaction is high among the employees, which is a prerequisite for increasing productivity, responsiveness, and quality and customer service.
The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the level of employee satisfaction and factors affecting to employee satisfaction at Van Nam Company in Ho Chi Minh City. The research questions to mitigate the research problem reads as follow: (1) What are factors that affect to employee satisfaction of Van Nam Company, (2) What is the current employee satisfaction level of Van Nam Company, and (3) What is important level of
each factor based on employee’s point of view.
The theoretical framework of this study includes eight motivational factors namely compensation & other benefits, physical working condition, job security, challenging work, workplace interaction, supervisor, achievement and recognition. The empirical part of the thesis and the questionnaire were created in accordance with the mentioned factor. The questionnaire included parts where the questions about evaluations
of employees toward eight factors and in this light the study sets to indentify the most ranked factors among those factors.
From the research findings, the level of employee satisfaction in Van Nam Company is relatively high although there is still a room for improvements. The most influenced factor is Achievement & Recognition. The biggest improvement is needed in
the field of the compensation, because most of employees are not showing high satisfaction with it. Moreover, this thesis can be seen as an introduction to a more detailed study to be conducted by the future researchers on the field of employee
